Honey + Light (San Francisco, est. 2020) was born from a deep pull toward observation, the instinct to notice the things we often pass by. The shift of light across skin, the stillness between words, the way memory softly settles into a place long before anyone realizes it is becoming memory at all.

I'm Chrystal, a fine art documentary photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Deeply attuned to the world around me, preserving love stories in all their forms through both film and digital mediums. Documentary at my core, guided when you need me, with a fine art touch woven through everything I create. Inspired by film photography, landscapes, travel, and the softness found within ordinary moments, this work is rooted in warmth, stillness, emotional connection, and a fine art touch.
I’m drawn toward imagery that feels honest and lived-in, preserving stories with softness, nostalgia, and all the warmth that grain carries with it. At the heart of it all is a desire to create photographs that feel tangible. A living archive of connection, soft reminders of why these moments existed, and what it felt like to live within them during the season they were held.
